Welcome to the Badgers Class

Your teacher is Ms Radcliffe

Did you know?

Ms Radcliffe loves music and even plays in a brass band
Did you know? When they’re not teaching, you might find them rehearsing beautiful melodies, performing at concerts, or marching proudly with their band. Playing in a brass band helps them stay creative, work as part of a team, and share the joy of music with others.

Our Year 2 classroom is an exciting place to be, filled with curiosity, creativity and discovery. Every day brings new opportunities to explore, learn and grow together.

Children learn through a mix of stories, phonics (through Read Write Inc.), practical tasks, problem‑solving, outdoor adventures and hands‑on activities that help them build confidence and independence. Whether we are investigating something new, working as a team or practising important skills, there is always something engaging happening in our classroom.

Our learning environment is bright, happy and welcoming. We encourage everyone to be curious, kind and brave in their learning—celebrating effort, progress and the unique talents every child brings.

Our new class pages are on the way...

We're currently busy putting everything together for next half term - and we can't wait to share all the exciting learning planned for our classes.

Lots of exciting updates are coming — watch this space!

We are very committed to building strong home / school links. We know that education is the most effective when there is a positive partnership between home and school.

In Badgers Class:

  • Children are encouraged to read at home every night with an adult. The texts will be selected by the teacher and will match their phonic phase and stage of learning
  • Spelling and maths activities (often with a ‘Times Table’ focus) are set every week.

Useful equipment to have at home:

  • Pens
  • Pencils
  • Ruler
  • Colouring Pencils
  • Dictionary
  • Thesaurus
